• Saturation of Exposure: In recent surveys of youth (ages 15–18), the vast majority—reaching as high as 93% in some classes (80 out of 86)—report knowing an atheist personally.
• Social Normalization: Unbelief is no longer a distant academic concept; it is integrated into the close social circles and friendships of our youth.
• Emergent Identity Crises: Persistent exposure to secular messaging is leading youth to identify as “not sure” or “atheist,” even within the church.
• Aggressive Recruitment: Secular influencers are intentionally targeting “innocent young people” with the explicit goal of ending religious participation.

Just as a spy enters a lab to receive specialized gadgets, the Christian enters the Word to receive the belt of Truth and the sword of the Spirit. Strategically, we must explain that the Universe is a “material effect.” Scientifically, every effect requires an adequate cause. Because the Universe exists, reason dictates it must have a cause that is non-material and supernatural. We must distinguish between “Scientific Laws,” which are unchangeable and objective, and “National Laws,” which are subject to a vote. No assembly of scientists can “vote out” the Law of Gravity or the Law of Cause and Effect.

As shepherds, we must warn that these “dates” are only as good as the unproven assumptions of the scientists.
